The 19th
A Celebration of International Women’s Day
In celebration of International Women’s Day, join Patty Payne and special guests for an evening of song and spoken word to pay tribute to the ratification of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States.
Passed by Congress June 4, 1919, and ratified on August 18, 1920, the 19th amendment granted women the right to vote. Achieving this milestone required a lengthy and difficult struggle—victory took decades of agitation and protest. Through stories, remembrances, and music, Ms. Payne and friends observe this momentous occasion in our country’s history in this inspiring and moving evening of celebration.
