T3 Presents
Time of Your Life
On July 15, 1965, the Cumberland County Playhouse opened its doors with a remarkable performance of TENNESSEE, USA!, launching a lasting legacy. During the past 60 years, the Playhouse has been dedicated to bringing arts education to the youth of Cumberland County. In this town with no museums, no college or university, and no live performance organizations… A dream was born. This dream of a theater and an arts education program here in rural Tennessee was accomplished through the work and contributions of hundreds of people in our community. The bond of the youth, volunteers, staff, actors, teachers, and audience has created a family here that we can all be proud of. Today we are celebrating 60 years of dedication to arts education in Cumberland County!
Join us as we take a look back at history through the covers of Time and Life magazines to see it through the eyes of our students today. We are truly thankful to still be having The Time of Our Lives!
